Welcoming Guests in Style

There’s no question that our forthcoming resort, The Cove at Sylvan Beach, will deliver the very best in terms of accommodations and amenities. When it opens this summer, the property also will afford guests top-quality service, thanks in part to the A-team of hospitality experts we’ve assembled to run the show.

Above all else, this is what sets The Cove apart—a top-notch team that understands guests always come first.

“The resort will be beautiful in so many ways, but really we’re most excited about the team behind it,” said Miles Blundell, Director of Golf and Recreation for Oneida Nation Enterprises and the man tasked with running the new digs. “These leaders will guarantee The Cove provides the level of service Turning Stone is known for. They’ll deliver friendly hospitality, every time.”

Like Miles, most of the team are Turning Stone leaders who also assume additional responsibilities across Oneida Nation Enterprises.

The lineup is a true cadre of all-stars: Karen Ramirez, Senior Vice President of Hospitality; Roxanne Lucenti, Director of Hotel Operations; and Ron Ross, Executive Enterprise Chef; to name a few.

This leadership team brings nearly a century of collective hospitality experience to The Cove—experience that will undoubtedly come in handy as they deliver a one-of-a-kind destination in Upstate New York.

How unique are the amenities at The Cove? The resort will comprise 70 two- and three-bedroom cottages on the shores of Oneida Lake. Each cottage will come with its own private pontoon boat and boat slip for the duration of each stay. Cottages will have full kitchens, in-unit washer/dryers, fire pits, gas grills, exclusive access to a heated pool, and access to a kids’ playground just for guests.

According to Miles, the resort also will feature the Sylvan Beach Supply Co., a cafe and store with an expansive deck overlooking Oneida Lake, and a watersports facility that rents out water bikes, paddleboards, canoes, kayaks and more.

Again, however, for Miles it all comes back to the service.

“We’ve got the team in place to guarantee that the experience at The Cove will be unlike anything our guests have experienced before,” he said. “I can’t wait for our guests to experience The Cove for themselves.”
