Cheers to Summer at Exit 33

The Exit 33 nightlife and entertainment district at Turning Stone Resort Casino is open for summer and three of the venues have unveiled new cocktails to celebrate the milestone.

The cocktails can be found at Atrium Bar, Crescent Courtyard, and Turquoise Tiger.

Vinny Belfiore, nightlife and bar manager, said the drinks are as much homage to the new season as they are to celebration of summer.“On warm summer nights there’s no better place to be than at Exit 33, with friends, relaxing and enjoying some tasty beverages,” Vinny said. “It will be great to get back to it.”

The new drink at Atrium Bar kicks off a new program that will introduce one special new cocktail every month. The June beverage is the Cu-Cran Margarita, which comprises cucumber, cranberry juice, Volcan Blanco tequila, simple syrup, Triple Sec, and sour mix.

The drink is served in a glass rimmed with cranberry sugar and is garnished with a cucumber wheel.

Vinny said bartenders make the drink by muddling the cucumber, which gives it a vibe that is both cool and crisp.

“The drink is very refreshing,” Vinny said. “The cucumber is its own flavor, and the sugar rim brings out more of the sweetness as opposed to the traditional sour margarita.”

Margaritas also are on the new menu at Crescent Courtyard—the smoking-friendly outdoor space with metal chairs and cornhole games. Vinny said guests can select from four different options: classic, passionfruit, watermelon basil, and lavender.

Turquoise Tiger, the most intimate of the three venues, has rolled out an entire menu of signature cocktails. The best seller: the Empress Lavender with gin, lavender syrup, a lavender sugar rim and a dried lavender flower on top. Also worth trying: the Bella Pear, which incorporates a pear cognac and a dehydrated pear garnish.

Other drinks on the list at the Tiger include the Cucumber Whirl, with Tanqueray 10 and aloe juice; the Basil Rathbone with gin, watermelon puree and basil; and Romancing the Stone, our take on a Kir Royale that features Stoli blueberry, St. Germain, and sparkling wine.

“These drinks are fancy but not too sophisticated,” said Vinny. “My goal is to keep things fresh but approachable and fun.”

Guests will have food options at these Exit 33 venues this summer as well.

As always, there is a limited sushi menu available at Atrium Bar—the food comes out of Sushi Sushi restaurant. After 11 p.m., a limited menu of pizzas is available at most venues as well.
