Late-night at Emerald

There’s only one 24/7 restaurant at Turning Stone Resort Casino, and the late-night scene at Emerald can get pretty zany between the hours of midnight and 6 a.m.

Manager Danny DeGeorge said he sees guests dining after long sessions in the casino, concerts at The Showroom or Event Center, and fun nights at Exit 33. He added that sometimes he also runs into groups of golfers who are fueling up for early-morning tee times.

“It’s a lively crowd, but it’s always something different,” he said. “That’s pretty much the one constant around here.”

Danny explained that the late-night menu at Emerald is a condensed version of the regular menu, with breakfast, appetizers, salads, burgers, sandwiches, and a few entrees. Within these categories, he said the kitchen sells “a ton” of chicken wings and appetizer samplers, and a lot of dessert plates.

Of course, because Emerald has a full bar, many guests order drinks, too.

Seating capacity at Emerald was 164, and many nights the restaurant is packed.

“Because guests come here late, nobody is ever in much of a rush to get out,” he said. “We try to accommodate that as much as possible.”

For those who’d rather eat on the run, Emerald opened a to-go window earlier this year. Here, guests pick up food and either take it to their rooms or bring it to their cars for the drive home.

However guests get their food, Danny said Emerald has become a key to the Turning Stone experience.

“It’s a staple,” he said. “I couldn’t imagine Turning Stone without it.
