777 Blazing Blackjack

Blazing New Trails in Blackjack

There’s new action on the gaming floor at Turning Stone Resort Casino with a brand-new progressive blackjack jackpot.

The jackpot, dubbed Blazing 7s, is linked to all the blackjack tables across Oneida Nation Enterprises—including those at YBR Casino & Sports Book in Chittenango and Point Place Casino in Bridgeport. The jackpot pays out life-changing money when a player’s first two cards and the dealer’s up card are all 7s of the same suit.

To participate, players must wager $5 in addition to their main bet.

According to Guy Renzi, Oneida Nation Enterprises’ Vice President of Gaming, the jackpot increases every time guests bet the progressive, which means the total in the jackpot is growing constantly. Guy said the new action represents Oneida Nation Enterprises’ commitment to giving players fun games with the possibility of striking it rich.

“We’re always trying to keep it interesting here on the gaming floor,” he said. “Players are always looking for new and exciting ways to win, and we try to accommodate them whenever we can.”

Blazing 7s certainly will dole out big bucks.

Guy said many jackpots have the potential payout that could get into six-figure territory. He added that installations of the same progressive game at other casinos have resulted in singular payouts exceeding $500,000. Every time the jackpot hits, it automatically resets to $10,000.

Blazing 7s also pays out for other combinations. Players can win 10 percent of the jackpot total for three sevens of the same color, or several different smaller payouts for two sevens of any kind.

Much like other blackjack side bets on the Turning Stone casino floor, this one has no bearing or significance on what happens for the rest of the game. That means players don’t have to change up their style of play or go against the proverbial “book” of blackjack rules to reap the benefits of getting lucky after the initial deal.

“There’s going to be a lot of excitement over this, for sure,” Guy said, noting that guests generally embrace side wagers when they play blackjack at Oneida Nation Enterprises’ properties. “For a $5 bet, you could win some serious money.”
