Bakhodir Jalolov vs Jack Mulowayi both have their sights set on becoming boxing's world champion

"Go for the gold." It's a battle cry and mantra that resonates across pro sports and into the professional world as an iconic symbol of victory. After doing just that by winning Olympic gold in Tokoyo in 2020 in the Men's Super Heavy competition, Bakhodir Jalolov immediately set his sights on the next prize: becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

But the "Big Uzbek", who has been boxing since age 12 and packs a wrecking ball southpaw punch, will have to make it past one of boxing's up-and-coming fighters first. "Big Jack" Mulowayi will enter the ring on a four-win streak and has promised to deliver an explosive performance.

Mulowayi, who fights professionally out of Belgium, is crossing the pond on a mission. He's excited to return to the U.S. and face a contender whose medals don't intimidate him.

Born in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, boxing is not only in Mulowayi's blood, it's in the zeitgeist of his hometown. Kinshasa cemented its place in boxing's history books when two other Olympic gold medalists - Muhammad Ali and George Foreman - battled it out in boxing's legendary "Rumble in the Jungle" in 1974.

It was in Mulowayi's hometown in the Congo that Ali reclaimed his heavyweight title and earned his nickname: "The Greatest." Mulowayi intends to put Kinshasa back in the boxing world headlines as he makes his own move for a world championship.
