The Iconic World Series of Poker® Arrives at Turning Stone

WSOP qualifying events at Turning Stone kicked-off on Monday, Nov. 1

As New York’s largest and most awarded Poker Room, Turning Stone’s variety of qualifiers offer poker players a chance to earn a trip to Las Vegas to compete in the WSOP “Tournament of Champions” in 2022

Oneida Indian Nation Homelands (November 4, 2021) – Turning Stone Resort Casino announced today it will serve as New York State’s first ever satellite host for the World Series of Poker®  (WSOP), the most prestigious and longest-running poker tournament in the country.  Throughout 2021 and 2022, Turning Stone poker players will have many opportunities to earn a seat for the WSOP “Tournament of Champions” in Las Vegas in 2022, along with big jackpots every week.

Turning Stone is distinguished as the first and only casino in New York to host official WSOP events.  Crowned New York’s #1 Best Overall Gaming Resort by Casino Player Magazine, Turning Stone offers poker players an award-winning gaming floor, a variety of hotel accommodations, more than 20 signature restaurants, bars and lounges, and more.

WSOP Satellite Tournament Events

The first round of the WSOP events at Turning Stone are 27 satellite tournament events. Beginning on Monday, Nov. 1, the satellite events are held every Sunday through Wednesday until Wednesday, Dec. 15. Satellite events at Turning Stone will resume in January. With a $175 buy-in, poker players compete in the satellite tournaments, and the winners will receive a $1,400 seat in one of the next round of qualifying events – the Local Main Events at Turning Stone.

WSOP Local Main Events at Turning Stone

Poker players then move on to the WSOP Local Main Events at Turning Stone, which will be held on Sunday, Jan. 2; Sunday, March 6; and Sunday, May 1. Winners of the Local Main Event will receive a $10,000 seat to the WSOP “Tournament of Champions” in Las Vegas in 2022, as well as $3,000 in travel money.

WSOP Circuit Event

For the first time ever in New York State, Turning Stone will host an official WSOP Circuit Event March 17 – 28, 2022, with local poker players winning direct entry into the WSOP “Tournament of Champions” in Las Vegas in 2022. The WSOP Circuit Event will be held in the Turning Stone Event Center, allowing more than poker players to vie for their seat in Las Vegas.
