Golf Digest Names Turning Stone Resort as One of the Best Golf Resorts in all of North and South America

The Central New York resort boasts five golf courses and numerous amenities, which helped to secure a spot on one of golf’s most prestigious list – the Best Golf Resorts in the Americas

Turning Stone Resort Casino’s highly regarded golf program is having a record year – and golf season has just begun.  The resort has been recognized by industry leader Golf Digest as one of the Best Golf Resorts in America, a highly competitive ranking selected by the editors of the magazine.  Turning Stone is one of only two in New York State to be named to the list, which features the best resorts in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Central America.

The Golf Digest’s Editor’s Choice list is notoriously competitive and selective, with very few resorts from each region selected. The Best Golf Resorts list in particular examines criteria beyond golfing, determining which locations provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted experience that can be tailored to individual needs and preferences. Fun, dazzling scenery on courses, along with an overabundance of activities and diversions to choose from, were top-of-mind.

Turning Stone was lauded for its variety of lodging options and for its world-renowned courses, designed by legendary course architects like Tom Fazio, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and Rick Smith.  Stunning views along each of Turning Stone’s five courses, along with a variety of options of non-golf activities to choose from, made the resort an obvious choice for Golf Digest’s editors.

Beyond the picturesque views and challenging courses, Turning Stone has a variety of other amenities for golfers to enjoy while off the course, including world-class entertainment, more than 20 exciting restaurants and dining options, Las Vegas-style gaming floor and two luxurious spas with treatments geared to keep golfers ready for their next round of golf.

In addition to being named to Golf Digest’s Best Golf Resorts list, Turning Stone’s golf program has also received 2016 accolades from Golfweek, the PGA of America and Golf Advisor. A testament to these achievements, the resort will host the PGA Professional Championship June 26-29 on its Atunyote and Kaluhyat courses, hosting more than 300 golf professionals, their families and hundreds of volunteers.
