Who was the original Million Dollar Quartet? You may not have heard of the band from the 50s - because they never actually were a band - but there's a reason their show goes on.
The moniker came from an impromptu jam session around Christmastime in 1956 with four now legendary musicians whose individual songs have become some of the most timeless recordings from the birth of American rock 'n roll and its influence on country and gospel music. Elvis Presley's Blue Suede Shoes. Johnny Cash with His Hot Blue Guitar debut album from the man in black. Jerry Lee Lewis with the immortal Great Balls of Fire. And Blue Suede Shoes by Carl Perkins.
When news broke of the session, one paper famously wrote, "This quartet could sell a million." The name stuck, and today, Million Dollar Quartet has become a beloved live performance and a tribute to the night fate smiled on history.

The Rockettes will not be performing at Turning Stone this holiday season, but dance fans will have something to look forward to in January when Dancing with the Stars Live returns Saturday, January 22 at 8:00pm.
America's favorite dance show will be thrilling audiences at the Event Center at Turning Stone for its fourth consecutive year. Joining the tour for select dates will be Dancing with the Stars Champion and former star of The Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe.
This all-new show welcomes back some of its most popular dancers including Brandom Armstrong, Alan Bersten, Artem Chigvinstev, Sasha Farber, Daniella Karagach, Pasha Pashkov, Gleb Savchenko, Emma Slater, Britt Stewart and more.
Our completely remodeled Showroom is a show unto itself
This luxurious 650-seat venue has recently undergone a multi-million-dollar renovation, making it one of the best places to see live concerts in CNY
Presented by Pepsi, The Showroom at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Central New York is a show in itself. Extensively remodeled and thoughtfully redesigned in 2021, the capacity was reduced from 800 to 650 to create a more intimate venue in response to insights to what guests were craving as the world returned to live entertainment.
Now an elevated experience for artists and guests alike, every seat feels like a premium seat. Stadium-style tiers have replaced the original cabaret-style seating, opening up direct sightlines from every seat in the house. A new, state-of-the-art sound system has earned a resounding round of applause from concert-goers. The decor got an upgrade, too, with dark mahogany stained wood, rich materials and luxurious seats. A full-service atrium bar has also been added, bringing beer, wine and cocktails to the Showroom for the first time.
The Showroom at Turning Stone has long been a popular tour stop near Syracuse for artists and entertainers including The Marshall Tucker Band, Bret Michaels, Michael Bolton, Howie Mandel, Grammy-Award winners Dan + Shay, Little River Band (returning in February 2022), Michael Carbonaro Live, Hardy and more.
