Mother’s Day Bingo - and Purse Giveaway - is Back

The Mother’s Day matinee session in the Bingo Hall at Turning Stone Resort Casino will feature a prize purse that includes, well…literal purses for everyone who plays.

For the second consecutive year, Turning Stone will offer a Mother’s Day promotion through which all players—even men!—receive a Benoss Milan purse in a custom dust bag. There are four different purse styles from which to choose: tote, handbag, cross body, and clutch.

Of course, the slate of games on May 14 will award cash prizes, too—regular games pay $2,500 apiece, while special games pay more—up to $14,000 if a guest can hit bingo in 35 numbers or fewer.

“We certainly try to keep it interesting and make it a day that the moms and grandmothers won’t forget,” said Samantha Archer, director of bingo operations. “The way we’ve set it up, even if you don’t actually win a game, you’ve won a purse before you even sit down and start getting your cards ready.”

Buy-ins for what Turning Stone is calling “Designer Bag Bingo” start at $65 for paper packets—a price point low enough to inspire the entire family to come and make a day of it.

Samantha added families that reserve eight or more spots for the event receive a Party Package that includes gift bags with novelties and party favors such as daubers and bubble wands for everyone in the group.

There also will be a special Mother’s Day photo booth in the bingo hall for guests to take free photos with their loved ones (and, of course, silly props).

“It’s going to be one big party,” Samantha said.

Doors to the Bingo Hall open at 8:00 a.m. on Mother’s Day and the main session begins at 12:45 p.m. Since demand is typically high for this event, Samantha recommends that guests book reservations in advance; all guests who do so get to pick their own seats, and will receive $25 in Bingo Bucks to be applied to future games.
